Positive affirmations are phrases you repeat which lead you to how you want to feel. When you first start saying your positive affirmations, they may not be true, but with repetition and consistency they sink into your subconscious mind. You really start to own them, and eventually they become your reality: they are a self-fulfilling prophecy and become true. Over time, they displace and dispel the limiting or negative beliefs you may have about yourself and replace them with positive thoughts and beliefs which instill confidence, trust, positivity, ambition and much more.
You can use any of these affirmations on their own, or create your own personal combination based on your wishes and needs. What is most important is to establish a profound communication with the universe - so say it with conviction, say it in your own voice, and make it happen in the real world.
If you do this every day then you will feel and see real results within a few weeks.

Tips
- Affirmations can be used in combination with visualizations to increase the effectiveness of both. By visualizing your affirmations, you can make them more real in your mind. Include mental visualization using as many of your five senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch) as appropriate.
- Think about how achieving your goal will make you feel, or think about how excited you feel when you realize you are good at something. Positive emotions are fuel and make affirmations more powerful.
- Self-affirmations are valuable precisely because they free you from depending on the approval of others: positive affirmations from others should be just as powerful and beneficial as the negative comments are harmful. So it's recommended to ask close friends to say a version of your affirmations to you.
- If you find it difficult to believe an affirmation will materialize, add "I choose to" to the affirmation. "I choose to be a confident person," for example, or, "I choose to become independent and wealthy."
- If you don't want people to know about your affirmations, just place your reminders in discreet locations. However, it's important that you see them frequently, or they'll do you no good.
